Covent Garden Market
The Covent Garden Market originally opened in 1835. Yes, it's older than the city of London itself!
The market will be our first stop on the tour today before we move on to the festival itself.
Having outgrown its original facilities, a new building was opened in 1999 and now the market serves both local residents and those who come from far away to purchase fresh produce, gourmet foods, unique gifts and so much more from the over 40 merchants in the building.

Home County Music & Art Festival
For the 6th year in a row, the Home County Music & Art Festival has again been chosen by Festivals & Events Ontario as one of the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario.
And it certainly deserves the accolades. The festival has been running for 42 years as the premier summer festival in London and for all those years, it has brought music, art and food to beautiful Victoria Park every summer.
The festival features 25 of Canada’s best roots, traditional and indie folk/pop acts. Just look at the line up of arts during the short time that we will be at the festival on this day.
Arts & Crafts Vendors
With over 80 arts & crafts vendors, you are bound to find that perfect gift or knick-knack-paddywack that you have been looking for.
There will be vendors specializing in decorative art, esthetics, fine art, glass, gourmet foods, wood, jewellery, leather, metal, musical instruments, photography, textiles and wood. That enough for ya? :-)

We'd list all the food vendors here but well, there's just too many to list. Anyways, our mouths were starting to water as we were writing this description.
Suffice it to say, pretty much any cuisine category is represented at this festival. All we can suggest is, come hungry!
