Buffalo AKG Art Museum

The Buffalo AKG Art Museum (formerly the Albright-Knox Art Gallery) is one of the oldest museums dedicated to the art of our time, and the sixth-oldest public art institution in the United States. It was founded in December 1862 as the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy with former President Millard Fillmore among its incorporators. Throughout its evolution to the Albright Art Gallery, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and now the Buffalo AKG, our museum has been led by a series of talented and dedicated directors whose combined influence has given rise to an extraordinary collection of modern and contemporary art.

Step into the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, where the walls are like gossiping confidantes sharing the juiciest stories of creativity. This cultural hub in Buffalo is not your grandma's art museum – it's a lively circus of imagination, where paintings flirt with your curiosity, and sculptures throw a party of elegance. As you traipse through the halls, you'll find more drama than a Shakespearean play, with each artwork whispering, "Guess what happened when the artist picked up the brush?"

Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens

The Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens is a breathtaking destination, housed within a historic Victorian-style glass conservatory. During your self-guided visit, explore a series of themed gardens, including the lush tropical rainforest, serene water gardens, vibrant seasonal flower displays, and exotic desert cacti collection. Marvel at the extraordinary collection of rare and colorful plants, beautifully curated to inspire wonder.

Don’t miss the opportunity to unwind at the on-site café, where light refreshments and snacks are available, offering a delightful pause amidst your exploration of this botanical haven.
