Lunch is on your own, and you’ll be spoiled for choice—sample bites from the food trucks on site or take a short stroll to one of the quaint cafés or restaurants tucked along the pretty streets of Fergus. After lunch and festival fun, we’ll hop back on the bus and make our way to Len’s Mill Store, a favourite spot for crafters and bargain hunters alike. Stock up on discounted yarn, fabrics, and crafting essentials to keep the inspiration going long after the day is done! We’ll wrap up the trip with a short break at a highway travel plaza to stretch and grab a refreshment before arriving back in Toronto. Attendees can explore booths featuring local farm yarns, roving, fleeces, and accessories tailored for knitters, crocheters, weavers, spinners, and felters alike.
Beyond shopping, the festival showcases engaging demonstrations such as "Sheep to Shawl" spinning and weaving, flax-to-linen processing, bobbin lace making, and rug hooking. Visitors can also interact with fibre animals like alpacas, sheep, and angora rabbits, adding a delightful touch to the experience. The event's lively atmosphere is further enhanced by performances from the Fergus Pipe Band and roaming bagpipers, creating a festive ambiance that celebrates both fibre artistry and community spirit.
