Embark on a one-of-a-kind artistic escape as we journey into the world of Canadian art and the cottage-country charm of Muskoka.

Our adventure begins at the renowned McMichael Canadian Art Collection, nestled among the serene woodlands of Kleinburg, a gallery celebrated for its breathtaking collection of works by the Group of Seven, Indigenous artists, and other Canadian masters. You will start with a private art class led by a professional instructor, where you’ll create your own painting inspired by the expressive landscapes of the Group of Seven.

Following your creative session, you’ll have an opportunity to enjoy browing the galleries at the museum and also enjoy a boxed lunch outdoors in the beautifully landscaped McMichael grounds—surrounded by sculptures, gardens, and the very scenery that once stirred the brushes of Canada’s most iconic painters. Take a breath, take in the view, and let inspiration linger before we set off for our next destination.

In the afternoon, we travel north to the heart of cottage country for the Muskoka Arts & Crafts Summer Show, one of the largest art & craft shows in Ontario! Set beneath the pines this juried outdoor market features a stunning variety of fine art, handmade crafts, and artisanal treasures. It’s the perfect chance to browse, shop, and connect with the artists themselves. With a day full of culture, creativity, and the great Canadian landscape, this promises to be a tour that inspires both the eyes and the soul. Don’t forget your camera—and your curiosity!

We will have a short break on the way home from Muskoka at a highway travel plaza.
