Calling all foodies—get ready for a 2-day Spring getaway that will be a feast for your tastebuds on this tour to Eastern Ontario! Your journey begins with an elegant high tea where you’ll savor delicate sandwiches, buttery scones, and sweet treats in a tranquil setting. It’s the perfect introduction for the culinary delights that await on this flavorful adventure.  

Next, we’ll visit Balderson, Ontario, home to the legendary Balderson cheese, a local favorite since 1881. At the Balderson Village Cheese Store you’ll explore this iconic heritage while having an opportunity to shop for their famous cheeses alongside a variety of other artisanal products. The day wraps up in historic Perth, Ontario where you’ll enjoy an authentic Eastern European dinner before settling into your cozy hotel for the night.  

Day two takes us to charming Almonte, where we’ll tour three local treasures: a chocolate maker, a coffee roaster, and a dairy distillery. You’ll sample handcrafted confections, bold brews, and unique spirits while uncovering the passion behind these celebrated creations. Before heading home, enjoy time to explore Almonte’s picturesque downtown, filled with quaint shops, delicious lunch options, and warm small-town charm. Don’t miss this unforgettable foodie adventure!

  • Full payment due at time of booking, non-refundable once paid.
  • If the tour has to be cancelled due to travel restrictions or government shutdowns, a full & prompt refund will be done regardless of how many days are left before departure.
  • You can transfer your seat to anyone else you know up to the time of departure without penalty, there is no cost for name changes.

Vodkow began with a bold idea to turn a waste product into a premium spirit. 

It all started when serial entrepreneur Omid began searching for a way to turn his love of spirits into a business — and spoke with his cousin Neal, whose family ran a dairy farm. They discussed a growing problem in the dairy industry — people were drinking less milk, but consuming more butter, yogurt and cheese. This imbalance led to a surplus of milk wasted across Canada. That's when inspiration hit. Could the sugars in milk be turned into alcohol? The answer was yes.
