Royal Botanical Gardens "Anchorball" Special Exhibition + Dairy Farm DelightsEnjoy a delightful summer day of art, gardens, country charm, and farm-fresh flavours as we visit two unique destinations in Burlington and Hamilton.
Our day begins at the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens, where we’ll experience "Anchorball: A Curious Art Journey", a special outdoor summer exhibition. Created by internationally known sculptor Ken Kelleher, who works under the name Anchorball, this Canadian premiere brings together bold Pop Art styling, imaginative characters, and large-scale sculptures set among the gardens. You’ll enjoy a guided tour led by expert RBG naturalists, who will help bring the gardens, seasonal highlights, and special exhibit to life. After the guided portion, there will also be free time to explore at your own pace, wander the pathways, admire the blooms, take photos, and enjoy the whimsical sculptures throughout Hendrie Park. A boxed lunch is included at RBG’s Annex Café, giving us time to relax and enjoy a pleasant midday break before continuing our countryside adventure. In the afternoon, we travel to Summit Station Dairy & Creamery, a family-run dairy farm known for its farm-fresh chocolate and strawberry milks, cheese curds, yogurts, and small-batch dairy products. During our behind-the-scenes tour, we’ll learn about daily life on the farm, meet the cows, and discover how milk makes its journey from their farm to your table. For a bit of old-fashioned fun, some passengers may even have the chance to try milking a cow by hand. Before we depart the dairy, there will be time to browse the extensive retail store where you will find local products, dairy favourites, treats, gifts, and farm-inspired finds to take home. This cheerful one-day tour offers a lovely mix of garden beauty, outdoor art, country hospitality, and hands-on farm fun — a perfect summer escape close to home. |

Royal Botanical Gardens "Anchorball"
This summer, Royal Botanical Gardens welcomes the Canadian premiere of ANCHORBALL: A Curious Art Journey, a vibrant outdoor exhibit featuring 18 large-scale Pop Art sculptures throughout the gardens.
Created by contemporary sculptor Ken Kelleher, internationally known as Anchorball, this imaginative exhibition transforms the garden setting into a colourful sculptural landscape where bold characters, playful storytelling, and modern art blend beautifully with nature and seasonal blooms.
The sculptures, some reaching up to 12 feet tall, introduce visitors to the fictional world of Low Orbit City, filled with whimsical and mythical characters. Enjoy a joyful fusion of nature, art, colour, curiosity, and imagination in one of Ontario’s most beautiful garden settings.
