Travelling With Children
- Children 10 and older are welcome on this tour. Price for children is same as adults.
Notes
- Please note, this is a long day and you will return to your pickup location 14-15 hours after being picked up.
- For vegetarians, the ship's kitchen can provide a vegetarian pasta and omit the chicken for the lunch. Sorry but the kitchen is not able to cater to any other special diets.
- We stop for a 45 minute dinner break at approximately 6:30 PM in a plaza in Owen Sound with multiple fast food outlets. Dinner is on your own and not included in the tour price.
What is the Spring Cruise?
The Chi-Cheemaun ferry transports passengers every day in the summer months between Tobermory and Manitoulin Island. It spends its winter at it's dock in Owen Sound.
Once each year in early May the ship is moved from Owen Sound to Tobermory to start it's sailing season. This journey from Owen Sound to Tobermory takes 4½ hours and the operators of the ferry offer it as an extended one-way special spring cruise. Since this is a one way cruise, our bus will be waiting for us when we arrive in Tobermory to bring us back to Toronto.
A simple hot lunch buffet is included with the tour price. Typically the buffet includes bread & butter, salad, pasta, grilled chicken, potatoes and vegetables, dessert, tea/coffee and soft drinks.
