Finger Lakes of New York Sightseeing Tour
Corning Museum of Glass, Ithaca Waterfalls, Sunset Cruise on Seneca Lake, White Deer Preserve, Wine Tasting, Cornell University, Cheese Tasting at a Finger Lakes Dairy and more!

Picture
The Finger Lakes region of New York is an area of unparalleled beauty. With its winding lakes, rolling hills, and charming small towns, it's easy to see why locals love this place so much. It's renowned of course for its delicious wines (you get to try some at two venues of this tour), and it's also known for taking in one of the gorgeous sunsets over one of the lakes (and you get to do that too on our Seneca Lake Sunset Cruise).

This 4-day tour to this beautiful region has something for everyone to make this tour an unforgettable experience.

Two iconic destinations in this tour are the Corning Museum of Glass and the waterfalls. While at the museum, we have lined up the glass etching experience for you where you design your own pattern on a wine glass and then take the glass home with you. Also included at the museum is a private buffet dinner accompanied by Finger Lakes wines.

See the amazing waterfalls and gorges in Ithaca, have a wonderful sunset cruise on Seneca Lake, do some wine tasting at a lakefront winery, visit the Seneca White Deer preserve, get a guided tour of a Finger Lakes Dairy and do some cheese tasting of Finger Lakes cheeses. And so much more!

Tour Highlights

Corning Museum of Glass

The Corning Museum of Glass has been a must-see attraction for lovers of art and glass since 1951. With spectacular views from its soaring atrium and galleries, you can admire a collection of more than 45,000 glass items from around the world, ranging from ancient to contemporary. The museum also features multiple demonstrations that allows visitors to see the breathtaking skill required to form molten glass into impressive works of art. During our visit, you will have time to tour the galleries, watch some demonstrations and also attend our private workshop on the sandblasting method to etch your own glass in your chosen pattern. And you get to keep the glass that you make as a momento of your visit!

Buffet Dinner at Corning Museum of Glass

Picture
We will be having a private group dinner at the Corning Museum of Glass at the end of our visit.

A cash bar will be available for additional purchases.  Complimentary beverages with the meal include Coffee, Hot Tea,Iced Water, Iced Tea, and Lemonade. Other soft drinks and juices can also be purchased from the cash bar.

Ithaca, NY

Ithaca is known as the city of gorges and waterfalls. There are over 150 waterfalls within 10 square miles. that flow across the town, funneling water through gorges carved out thousands of years ago. By glaciers, they tell us. The most famous of these is Taughannock Falls. We will be visiting Taughannock Falls as well as a couple of the others -- nature's marvels for us to enjoy. And a perfect photo opportunity.

Also included on our guided tour of Ithaca will be a trip through the Cornell University campus.

Please note that the waterfalls tour in Ithaca is not walker or wheelchair friendly. Those with mobility issues will regrettably not be able to experience these stops fully.

Seneca Lake Sunset Cruise

Picture
A visit to Seneca Lake is not complete without a 1.5 hour sunset cruise board Captain Bill's 270 passenger Seneca Legacy vessel located at the southern end of Seneca Lake, one of the larger finger lakes.

Deer Haven Park

Picture
Deer Haven Park occupies a portion of the former Seneca Army Depot, a US Military munitions storage facility built in 1941. For over 75 years, the Seneca Army Depot was closed to the public. It's now been reopened as an animal refuge and offers a glimpse into its mysterious past and a chance to see the unique wildlife that resides within its fences, from wild turkeys, beavers, and American Bald Eagles to the Majestic Seneca white deer!

Owing to their entrapment by the fencing when the depot was built in 1941, the herd has been inbreeding for nearly 70 years. The trait has manifested itself to such an extent that today there are an estimated 200–300 white deer in the total herd of about 700.
