Travelling With Children
- Children 10+ are welcome on this tour, same price as adults.
Single Supplement
- We do not charge single supplements or surcharges if you are willing to share your room with one other person. Are you travelling by yourself? We guarantee to find you a roommate of the same gender or we pay the surcharge!
- If you prefer to have a private room by yourself, that is not a problem, please select the Single Occupancy option and pay the single supplement.
Travel Documents
- US Immigration requires that all travellers MUST have a passport (or Nexus or EDL cards). If you do not have a Canadian or USA passport, please make sure that you have the appropriate permissions or documentation to travel to the USA.
- If you are denied entry to the US, sadly we will have to leave you at the border.
- Sorry but no refunds if you are denied entry.
Emergency Medical Insurance
- Emergency medical and trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. Getting ill in the USA can be very expensive.
- If you are not covered by a workplace or other policy, we recommend that you purchase insurance for this trip.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Mon Nov 16
Once we cross the border from Sarnia to Port Huron, start with a guided tour of the city of Port Huron, MI. Then we will visit SMR Automotive, manufacturers of rear view mirror systems and intelligent camera technologies. The company is the 21st largest automotive supplier worldwide! We check into our hotel, the Doubletree by Hilton Port Huron. Dinner vouchers will be provided for dinner at Freighter's Eatery restaurant in the hotel, one of the popular restaurants in Port Huron.
Day 2 - Tue Nov 17
This morning we drive to Fremont, OH. Our first visit today will be Jaws with Paws K-9 Training for an unforgettable experience presented by an expert in police and military K-9 dogs. The dogs are trained to sniff out drugs, explosives and even people but these dogs are also used for protection and can take down an assailant on command! See how these amazing animals learn and how they are trained for police, military, fire and rescue.
We then proceed for some lunch and wine tasting at Chateau Tebau Vineyards. After the winery visit we check in for 2 nights to our hotel, the Berlin Encore Hotel in Berlin, OH. This new hotel features an inspiring 20-foot-high atrium-style lobby complete with soft seating, rustic decor, exposed beams and a gorgeous countryside view.
This evening enjoy a dinner & show at the Amish Country Theater. The scheduled show is "When Pigs Fly"
We then proceed for some lunch and wine tasting at Chateau Tebau Vineyards. After the winery visit we check in for 2 nights to our hotel, the Berlin Encore Hotel in Berlin, OH. Day 3 - Wed Nov 18
Today we spend a day touring Amish country in Ohio with a local tour guide. Start with a visit to Heini's Cheese House. View cheese making, free samples of over 50 Amish cheeses, smoked Amish meats, homemade jellies& fudge and more.
For lunch today you will enjoy a lunch and show at the Ohio Star Theatre and their show titled "A Christmas Tree Ship" with "Captain Santa".
After lunch, you will get a factory tour of Homestead Furniture where you’ll see craftsmen in every step of construction — assembly, sanding, finishing, and quality control.
Our final stop today is Wendell August Forge, America’s oldest and largest, hand-wrought ornamental metalware and elegant giftware manufacturer. You will get a chance to hammer a souvenir to take home with you and also receive a special gift prior to departure.
Then it's on to Walnut Creek Foods. This 60,000-square-foot facility serves more than 1,400 wholesale customers who feature Walnut Creek Foods products in their stores. A perfect opportunity to shop for Amish products. This is also our stop for dinner. There are plenty of dining options and lunch is on our own today.
For lunch today you will enjoy a lunch and show at the Ohio Star Theatre and their show titled "A Christmas Tree Ship" with "Captain Santa".

After checking out of out hotel, we will drive through Newark, Ohio. The city has been home to one of the world's most curious landmarks: the World's Largest Picnic Basket. Standing seven stories tall and more than 200 feet wide, the basket
was built to be the headquarters of the former basket-making Longaberger Company.
We will proceed to the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Etna, OH. Ever wonder how Amazon packages gets your to you so quickly? Come see the magic! Enjoy this 1 hour tour, closed toe shoes are required.
After our Amazon tour, we will stop at a Cracker Barrel for lunch. A $15.00 gift card will be provided to each person in our bus group. Following lunch. you will get a guided tour of The American Whistle Factory to see brass whistles being made the same way they have been making them here since 1956.
Our final stop today is a one hour tour of The Phoenix Bat Company. They have been making premium rock maple, yellow birch, and northern white ash bats for over 22 years.
We then drive to our hotel, the Hampton Inn & Suites in Toledo, OH for our overnight stop. Dinner is on your own this evening. There are plenty of dining option within walking distance of the hotel.

Day 5 - Fri Nov 20
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we make our way to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation contains the presidential limousine of John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln's chair from Ford's Theatre, Thomas Edison's laboratory, the Wright Brothers' bicycle shop, the Rosa Parks bus, the original Dymaxion house, bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, cars, trains, planes and other vehicles and even the original electrical power plant that powered the Ford Model T Assembly Line! In fact this museum has so many historical exhibits it's overwhelming. One could spend an entire week here but alas, we will only be here for 3 hours. Lunch will be on your own in the Museum cafeteria or diner.
And then we make our way home towards Toronto, stopping at the Duty Free store before crossing back into Canada.
