The Hikes

We will be hiking the following two trails. Hiking is optional and you can choose to skip the hikes and remain with the bus if you wish.
  • Lookout Point Trail. This is a 3.5 km loop, rated moderate to difficult. This trail winds through a variety of forest types and rock outcrops and provides a breathtaking view of Georgian Bay at the midway point. The trail has an uphill incline until you reach the lookout and of course is downhill on the way back. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete the loop.
  • Twin Points Trail. This is a 1.6 km loop trail on level ground, rated easy. The trail crosses over rock outcrops and through different types of forest until it makes its way to the rocky points and sandy beaches of the shoreline. It takes approximately 45 minutes to complete the loop.

Notes

  • Depending on trail conditions and with advice from Killbear Park staff, the hike trails may be changed upon arrival at the park.
  • Please note that this is a long day and we do not return to the Toronto area until approximately 9:00 PM.
  • We will be stopping for lunch in Parry Sound before we reach Killbear Provincial Park and stopping for a dinner break at a highway rest area on our way back to Toronto.
