The windswept pines and rugged shoreline of Killbear Provincial Park easily capture the heart and imagination of all who visit. On the eastern shores of Georgian Bay, Killbear is located about a 2.5 hours drive (250 km) north of Toronto.

Our day trip includes hiking on two trails. We have hired an experienced field naturalist to accompany us on both trails.

  1. The Twin Points Trail has been designated one of Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve's "Amazing Places". This 1.8km loop trail crosses forest, sandy beaches and bedrock ridges as it works its way along Killbear’s shoreline. Our field naturalist will accompany and provide narration on this trail. The hike will take approximately 1.5 hours with stops for the narration. Skill level: Easy-to-moderate.
  2. Our second trail is not really a trail, it's a hike along the shoreline between the Harold Point rocks and the visitor's centre. This type of hike is called a shoreline clamber. See dramatic geological features as you clamber from rock to rock. Our field naturalist will also accompany us on this trail and this clamber will take approximately 1 hour. Skill level: Moderate-to-difficult.
