Flight Arrangements
This tour is a guaranteed departure!
- The prices shown are for the land portion of the tour. You will need to purchase your own airline ticket for travel to/from St. John's, NL (YYT). We can assist with arranging your flight for you if you wish, please contact Marville Travel, our sister travel agency at (905) 891-0111.
- Please plan on arriving in St. John's on June 6, 2025 any time before 6:00 PM. Our first activity on day 1 is a group welcome dinner starting at 7:30 PM. Our bus will transfer you from the airport to the hotel. Note that hotel rooms may not be available for check-in earlier than 4:00 PM but you are welcome to leave your luggage with the front desk if you do arrive before your room is ready.
- On June 12, the last day of the tour, our bus will transfer you to the airport. We recommend scheduling your travel on any flight departing after 2:00 PM to allow you time to check-in, clear airport security etc.
Deposits, Payments, Cancellations & Refunds
- $199 deposit required to reserve your seats. Deposit is fully refundable if you cancel for any reason by April 11, 2025.
- Full payment is due April 11, 2025, sorry, no refunds after that date. Reminder emails will be sent a few days before the due date.
- If the tour has to be cancelled due to travel restrictions or government shutdowns, a full & prompt refund will be done regardless of how many days are left before departure.
- Please note the airline ticket is your responsibility and we are not able to provide any refunds for your air tickets if you should need to change or cancel your travel plans.
- You can transfer your seat on this tour to anyone else you know, up to the time of departure without penalty. Please keep in mind that while we are flexible with name changes on the bus tour portion, you will most likely not be able to transfer the airline ticket once it has been issued or you may have to pay to have the name changed.
- Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. Insurance can be purchased online from CAA or TD Insurance or RBC Insurance or Manulife.

- This tour is entirely in Canada. Passports are NOT required.
- If you wish to extend your stay in St. John's, you are welcome to arrive before June 6 and/or leave after June 12. We are happy to add additional nights to your reservation either pre or post trip. You will however need to make your own arrangements for airport transfers.

Day 1 • Fri June 6 • Arrive in St. John's
Touch down in the vibrant city of St. John’s, the beating heart of Newfoundland and one of the oldest cities in North America. Settle in for a two-night stay, where history, culture, and breathtaking coastal scenery await. This evening, join us for a private welcome dinner for our group at 7:30 PM, where you'll meet your ShortTrips.ca representative, our knowledgeable local guide, and your fellow travelers. Day 2 • Sat June 7 • St. Johns
Start your day with an unforgettable guided city tour, where history and breathtaking scenery come alive! Explore Cape Spear, home to the oldest surviving lighthouse in Newfoundland and the most easterly point of North America—where the sun first touches the continent each morning. Take in the panoramic views from the historic Cabot Tower on Signal Hill, and wander the charming, picturesque Quidi Vidi Village, a hidden gem filled with maritime history, craft breweries, and colorful fishing stages. This tour is a must-do, offering a deep dive into one of North America's oldest and most fascinating cities.
In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling boat tour to the world-famous Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, a true paradise for wildlife lovers! Feel the exhilaration as you witness thousands of seabirds soaring above, including over 260,000 pairs of Atlantic puffins, the province’s official bird. As we travel, enjoy stunning ocean views and stop at some of the region’s most fascinating villages. In Holyrood, take in the picturesque waterfront, where you may spot whales and seabirds gliding over the bay. Continuing along the coast, we arrive in Brigus, a charming historic town known for its narrow lanes, stone cottages, and deep maritime roots. Explore the legacy of Captain Bob Bartlett, the famous Arctic explorer who helped lead expeditions to the North Pole. In the evening, we make our way to Clarenville, where you’ll unwind and relax for the night, ready for the next day’s adventure.
Day 4 • Mon June 9 • Clarenville to Gander
Begin your day in Trinity, one of North America’s oldest and most beautifully preserved villages, where history comes alive in its charming cobbled streets, colorful clapboard houses, and historic buildings. Walk through centuries of Newfoundland heritage as you explore this perfectly restored fishing town, known for its deep ties to maritime culture and its role in early European settlement. Later, stand atop the same dramatic cliffs where John Cabot first set eyes on Newfoundland in 1497, declaring it “Buenavista” for King Henry VII.
