Trip Highlights
Lake Superior Ice Formations &
Lake Superior might seem like an intimidating and frigid place, but each winter it turns into a stunning ice wonderland! As the temperatures drop below zero and the lake freezes over, magnificent ice formations emerge from its depths. The most spectacular example of these frozen delights are the stunning ice caves that form on its rocky coastlines. These icy grottos are truly a sight to behold, with their sparkling walls, glittering ceilings and soothing chill. So if you're looking for an adventure this winter, why not brave Lake Superior's icy beauty - after all, where else can you find amazing ice caves?
Snow Shoeing
Snow shoeing in Northern Ontario is a wonderful experience. From the boreal trees covered in a layer of untouched snow, to lake shores and frozen water cascades, the Winter wonderland is an inspiring place for anyone looking for a memorable experience.
Slipping into your snowshoes and trekking snow-covered hills is an exhilarating journey that will get your heart racing while providing you with beautiful photographic memories.

Maple Syrup Sugar Shack & Farm
One of the most fun things to do on a tour to northern ontario in winter is visiting a sugar shack where you will trek out into the bush and see trees being tapped and if the weather co-operates, watch the farmhands collecting the sap, boiling it and turning it into delicious, sticky sweet syrup. Nothing beats learning hands-on how one of nature’s treats is created.
