Experience a totally relaxing day with our bus tour to the 30,000 Islands region of Ontario. We have chartered the cruise ship just for our bus group so we will start with an intimate 2.5 hour lunch cruise aboard the MV Chippewa III ship as we meander lazily on Georgian Bay. We have also arranged for live entertainment during the cruise with music from the 60s to the 80s.

After the cruise you will enjoy another relaxing stop at the Parry Sound Tower Hill with an opportunity to explore the Heritage Gardens. A stroll through the gardens will be like entering a world of pleasant aromas - warm and earthy, fresh and floral. Imagine closing your eyes and feeling the sunshine hit your head as you delight in the way fragrant petals are inviting and comforting all at once! That's why they say that taking time for an aromatic walk can truly be one of life's greatest rewards and you will have a chance to do exactly that at this stop.

Of course for those who desire a more active stop, feel free to climb the 130 steps to the top of the Fire Tower for an amazing vista of the pretty little town of Parry Sound.

Highlights

Tower Hill Heritage Gardens

After our cruise we will visit the Parry Sound Heritage Gardens on Tower Hill. Although this is not a large garden it is notable because it is nestled amongst the trees atop the hill overlooking Parry Sound on Georgian Bay and maintained entirely by local volunteer gardeners!  Constructed by the Ontario Forestry Branch in the late 1920’s, the municipally owned garden features a network of original flagstone paths connecting rock gardens, goldfish pond and raised pedestal sundial, all enhanced by flowering shrubs and perennials. There are 6 sections:
  1. Wildlife Habitat Garden
  2. Rain Garden
  3. Lilac Walk
  4. The Goldfish Pond
  5. The Tower Rock Garden
  6. The Sundial Garden

Located on the grounds of the Heritage Gardens is Parry Sound's 30m high observation tower that provides stunning 360 degree views of the harbour Georgian Bay.

For those so inclined, take the 130 steps up and you will be able to gaze down upon boats, float planes and barges, and the famous Canadian Pacific Railway trestle bridge below you.
