An elegant lunch at an elegant venue followed by a theatre production at an equally elegant theatre. A perfect way to spend a summer day in July.

Start this day trip with wonderful lunch at the Queenston Heights Restaurant near Niagara-On-The-Lake as you enjoy the breathtaking views of the winding Niagara River and local vineyards. After the lunch it's a short scenic drive along the Niagara Parkway to the Festival Theatre in Niagara-On-The-Lake to enjoy the Shaw Festival's production of "Gypsy". After the show, we have arranged for a talk-back with some of the cast members so you can meet them up close and person.

After enjoying the show and the talk-back, you will then have some free time to enjoy the charming stores and boutiques in the pretty town of Niagara-On-The-Lake before we board the bus to return to the Toronto area.

"Gypsy" at the Shaw Festival Theatre

Starry-eyed and blindingly ambitious, Momma Rose pushes her daughters onto vaudeville stages in this landmark Broadway musical with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.

Momma Rose was the ultimate stage mother. Follow her and her daughters' extraordinary story in this timeless musical about sex, power and longing with legendary songs, including “Let Me Entertain You” and “Everything’s Coming up Roses,” Gypsy remains one of the greatest American musicals.

Orchestra level seats are included as part of this tour!

Queenston Heights Restaurant

Our menu at the Queenston Heights Restaurant is as follows:
All meals come with assorted artisan breads and butter, mixed Niagara baby greens with balsamic vinaigrette, seasonal  vegetables & potatoes, seasonal featured dessert, and coffee/tea/milk/soft drinks. 

You will be able to select one of the following entrees upon arrival at the restaurant: 
  • Grilled Breast of Chicken with roasted garlic glaze
  • Baked Atlantic Salmon Fillet with citrus beurre blanc
  • Angus Bistro-Cut Steak Striploin au Jus
  • Pan-Seared Polenta with wild mushroom ragout & grilled asparagus (Vegetarian option)

Niagara-On-The-Lake

After the show, you will have some free time to browse the pretty town of Niagara-On-The-Lake. Check out the cute boutiques or perhaps grab a coffee or a drink at one of the many cafe's and restaurants that line the main street.
